What should we pay attention to when using butterfly valves?
1. The pipe clamp flange standard must be consistent with the butterfly valve flange standard; it is recommended to use butt welding flange, butterfly valve special flange or integral flange; flat welding flange (fitting type) is not allowed, if the user uses flat welding flange , must obtain the supplier's consent.
2. Before use and installation, check whether the usage conditions are consistent with the performance of this butterfly valve.
3. Before installation, the inner cavity and sealing surface of the valve should be cleaned first to prevent dirt and debris from adhering; at the same time, the welding slag and other debris in the pipeline should be removed.
4. The butterfly plate must be in the closed position during installation to ensure that the butterfly plate does not collide with the pipe flange, etc.
5. Both ends of the valve seat protrude from the end face of the valve body as flange seals. There is no need to add seals when installing the butterfly valve.
6. This butterfly valve can be installed in any position (vertical, horizontal, or inclined). For heavy specifications of the operating mechanism, please pay attention to the installation of a support frame.
7. During the transportation and storage of this butterfly valve, ensure that the butterfly valve avoids impact, otherwise the sealing performance of the butterfly valve will be reduced. The butterfly plate must not collide with hard objects, and should be opened at an open position of 4°-5° to keep the sealing surface in place. No damage will occur during this period.
8. Confirm that the flange is welded correctly. Welding of the flange is not allowed after the butterfly valve is installed to avoid burning the rubber parts and anti-corrosion coating.
9. During use, the air source must be kept dry and clean to prevent foreign matter from entering the pneumatic actuator and affecting normal operation.
10. Butterfly valves are only allowed to be installed vertically and used indoors unless otherwise specified in the order contract.
11. If the butterfly valve opens and closes abnormally, the cause should be identified and the fault should be eliminated. It is not allowed to use methods such as knocking, smashing, prying, and extending the lever arm to force the opening and closing of the butterfly valve.
12. This butterfly valve should be kept dry during the storage period and not in use. It is not allowed to be stored in the open air and no harmful substances are allowed to corrode around it.
