Introduction to gate valve models

Introduction to gate valve models, advantages and disadvantages

In life, everyone still has a certain understanding of gate valves. Maybe many people have seen them more or less, but they just don’t have an in-depth understanding. Today we will take a look at the relevant knowledge about gate valve models and see what their advantages and disadvantages are.

Gate valve advantages and disadvantages

Advantages: 1. The resistance in the flow is very small. Since the medium channel inside the valve body is linear, the flow of the medium is linear, which reduces the effect of resistance.

2. The height of the gate valve is relatively large, and it takes a long time to open or close. Due to the long closing time, water hammer is less likely to occur.

3. The gate valve is easy to install. When the medium flows, it can flow in the direction of benevolence and righteousness on both sides, and its two ends are symmetrical.

4. The overall structure of the gate valve is short in length and relatively simple in shape. Good manufacturing technology is used in the production process, and it is now used in a wide range of applications.

5. The structure of the gate valve is very compact and has a long service life. Because its sealing surface is composed of stainless steel and carbide, and it is filled with PTFE, the sealing is very reliable.

Disadvantages: It is easy to cause scratches and erosion between the sealing surfaces, and this kind of damage is very difficult to repair. In addition, although its appearance is simple, the storage is a bit large, so it requires enough space and time when opening it.

Gate valve model

There are seven main types of gate valves: Z40, Z41, Z42, Z43, Z44, Z45, and Z46. Their corresponding meanings are as follows: Z40 is an open-stem wedge-type elastic gate, Z41 is a rising-stem wedge-type rigid single gate, and Z43 is The open pole parallel rigid single gate, Z42 is the rising pole wedge type rigid double gate, the Z44 is the rising pole parallel rigid double gate, the Z45 is the concealed pole wedge type rigid single gate, the Z46 is the concealed pole wedge type rigid double gate gate.

As far as domestic valves are concerned, the meaning of the valve model code is as follows:

The valve type codes Z, J, L, Q, D, G, X, H, A, Y and S respectively represent: gate valve, globe valve, throttle valve, ball valve, butterfly valve, diaphragm valve, plug valve, check valve , safety valve, pressure reducing valve, trap

The valve connection codes 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7 respectively represent: 1. Internal thread, 2. External thread, 4. Flange, 6. Welding, 7. Clamp

The valve transmission mode codes 9, 6, and 3 respectively represent: 9. Electric, 6. Pneumatic, 3. Turbine and worm
